Project title: Preparation and pharmacokinetic evaluation of self-assembly of drug/cyclodextrin nanoparticles with specific administration properties.

About project: The project is a part of an EU funded joint research training project “Novel multifunctional cyclodextrin-based nanocarriers for drug encapsulation and delivery as a strategy to overcome current therapeutic drawbacks” (grant agreement N° 237962). The work involves preparation of self-associating cyclodextrin/drug complexes, cyclodextrin-polymer/drug complexes, self-assembling cyclodextrin/polymer nanoparticles; evaluation of their drug loading, drug release, particle size, morphology, stability. The focus is on parenteral drug delivery of anticancer drugs with nanoparticles of specific size and stability aiming for enhanced permeation and retention (EPR) effect.
